Arranged not by area, but by theme and feeling the photographs are Robin Morrison-esque, and break away from the traditional ‘pretty’ landscapes.

Stuart Macdonald is a Wellington-based photographer who seeks to portray the essence or uniqueness of places around New Zealand, and the simple ordinary subjects we often overlook. He shares his journey around the country with these images that capture the essence of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
